The Water Cycle Diagrams

Have you ever wondered, water that you frequently use, the rain that frequently falls, where they are from? Studying biology will give you answers, as will as these water cycle diagrams! With the detailed illustration and explanation about how the water cycle works, these diagrams are specifically made to ease you in understanding how water is cycling in earth. A water cycle diagram describes how water evaporates from the surface of the earth, rises into the atmosphere, cools and condenses into rain or snow in clouds, and falls again to the surface as precipitation. The water falling on land collects in rivers and lakes, soil, and porous layers of rock, and much of it flows back into the oceans, where it will once more evaporate. The following diagram will give you a further look about the cycle.

The cycling of water in and out of the atmosphere is a significant aspect of the weather patterns on Earth. And we have to understand that, since we, as human, are the main collaborator of the earth and its component, including water. Understanding how the water cycle works will make us realize that it’s really important to keep the environment and nature as the way it is in order to not breaking any cycle. Follow the diagram and learn about evaporation, condensation, precipitation and more. These are also a handy of the water cycle diagrams which are suitable for kids. The diagrams for kids are posted in the following images.

Several steps of water  cycle can be summarized into this: Evaporation happens when the sun heats up water in rivers or lakes or the ocean and turns it into vapor or steam. Vaporization is when the water vapor or steam leaves the river, lake or ocean and goes into the air. Meanwhile, condensation happens when water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming clouds. This is called condensation. What is called as precipitation occurs when so much water has condensed that the air cannot hold it anymore.  The clouds get heavy and water falls back to the earth in the form of rain, hail, sleet or snow. Just look at the following diagrams.

And the final step of the water cycle is collection, and it happens when water falls back to earth as precipitation, it may fall back in the oceans, lakes or rivers or it may end up on land.  When it ends up on land, it will either soak into the earth and become part of the “ground water” that plants and animals use to drink or it may run over the soil and collect in the oceans, lakes or rivers where the cycle starts all over again. All those steps can be observed in these diagrams, and you can also find the other cycle diagrams in the other posts in this site. Just browse and save!
